Most of us do not take enough vacation time to relax and recover from our stressful and busy work lives. Also, most hotels and resorts fail at fully becoming eco-conscious. The target audience are residents ages 24-32 and middle-upper class, who also enjoy traveling, and appreciate nature and care for the environment. Māla is a tropical, boutique resort which incorporates environmental sustainability on every level from relying solely on wind and solar energy to choosing only non-toxic cleaning agents. The objective is to create an authentic and lively experience inspired by the "garden" island of Hawaii—Kauai.
