Feature design BYU Alumni Magazine. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a surge in mental health issues—mainly loneliness. A concept and direction to highlight the pressing and complicated issue of loneliness was needed. Drawing from personal experience from major depression, the designer used hand drawn type to highlight the internal mental struggle that revolves around the mind when it is under lonely duress due to the pandemic.
