Project
To create a design history / theory zine that focuses on famous designers, essays, and theories. To quote John le Carre (an observant, old spy)“...artists can work wholeheartedly for big corporate clients as well as nonprofit organizations. We are both sell outs and activists. We exist in grey areas where boundaries are undefined. With manipulative and well-informed skill sets, we make commercial advertisements and strange, alarming subjects more palatable."
This zine is a self-published piece that explores two routes a designer/artist can choose between--the corporate world or the nonprofit world. It includes famous essays like the First Things First Manifesto. It also includes the interviews and opinions from famous designers like Jonathan Barnbrook, Rick Poynor, and Michael Bierut.
