Project

This project was created as a thesis at the end of the undergrad design program at Utah State. The purpose of the project was to explore not only how people perceive color, but also to explore the reasons why certain people see, or do not see color. There was a huge focus on accessibility in this project; in fact probably the greatest design problem I needed to solve was coming up with a way to discuss the existence of color without leaning on the usage of color to illustrate the research, the project needed to be accessible to both those who have full color vision and those who do not.
By creating a visual system that uses color only as a highlight, and not to communicate, or illustrate any important information other than that which brings into question the color itself, I was able to create a series of separate documents that discuss the effect society, geography, and even culture have on our ability to see color as well as which colors we can see.
