Project
In the age of information the cloud of data-incomprehension is immense. Our photos, video, and text messages are added to the off-site cloud far away from any tangile record of our own. Why are so much of our memories in the hands of the top four tech companies? This project aims to reserve a solid space of our own to hold memories separate from the antitrust court room as we take accountability for our information.
"In the age of information overload, the ultimate luxury is meaning and context. " - LOUIS ROSSETTO
MemoryGlimpse is a place to store instances of the past. The media contained here carries weight. Selected imagery, text, and audio act as an archive for glimpses of life that are too heavy to hold ourselves.
The concept explores personal data as hard-memory. Store your momentary information in a 10lb occipital lobe. That last voicemail of your ex you must’ve missed during your cathartic cleanse, the snow through the streetlight on the corner when you felt untouchable, the color of the clouds the day you felt in-love again, sketches of the dream you had that stuck around.
