Tesoro Design's original logo consisted of a decorative font with a slightly western edge, but at the end of the day, lacked the punch that Tesoro needed to compete in the luxury leather goods market. Beyond that, there weren't any brand guidelines to help create a consistent feel across the company's advertising efforts.
The brand needed to be updated to better reflect the company's vision, as well as build out collateral to make wholesaling the bags to retailers easier. Tesoro Design is was founded to bring transparency, originality, and accessibility to the stagnant luxury bag industry. The founder and brand is unapologetic, uncompromising, and refreshingly empowering when it comes to the fashion industry. The new brand embodied that spirt while still paying being refined enough to come across as a serious bag brand.
The other goal of the brand refresh was to educate consumers why Tesoro is different (and so much better) than other luxury brands. This was achieved through a type-forward graphic treatment that could be used throughout social media and advertising campaigns.
